Over the next two months I’ll be slowly making my way back to Taranaki, New Zealand. Eeeeeee so excited! I can’t believe my two years in the UK has come to an end, but I return richer, maybe not in cash, but in knowledge and skill. What a journey!

Below is a test shoot I did recently by converting my London flat living room into a studio. It was a lot of fun. Although I myself have no tattoos I have a real interest for people who do. To me it provides a glimpse of their personality, their past, their story. It can pose questions and thought.

While I was back in New Zealand I got the pleasure of photographing beautiful Samara and her growing bump. We wanted to include all the sentimental elements like the wee booties knitted especially by Sam’s mum, (in Taranaki colours of course). After spending some time in the studio we took some lovely photographs on her partners land capturing the last of the evening light. Bliss.
